3) COOKIES
To make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called cookies on various pages. These are small text files that are stored on your device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted after the end of the browser session, i.e. after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your device and enable us or our partner companies (third-party cookies) to recognize your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies).
If cookies are set, they collect and process certain user information to an individual extent such as browser and location data and IP address values. Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may vary depending on the cookie.
Some cookies are used to simplify the ordering process by storing settings (e.g. remembering the contents of a virtual shopping cart for a later visit). 4) CONTACTING US
When contacting us (e.g. via contact form or email), personal data is collected. Which data is collected in the case of a contact form can be seen from the respective contact form. This data is used exclusively for the purpose of responding to your inquiry or for establishing contact and the associated technical administration.
The legal basis for processing the data is our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. If your contact is aimed at concluding a contract, the additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR.
Your data will be deleted after the final processing of your inquiry, provided that it can be inferred from the circumstances that the relevant matter has been conclusively clarified and no legal retention obligations prevent deletion.
5) DATA PROCESSING WHEN OPENING A CUSTOMER ACCOUNT AND FOR CONTRACT PROCESSING
In accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, personal data is collected and processed if you provide it to us for the execution of a contract or when opening a customer account. The data collected can be seen from the respective input forms.
Deletion of your customer account is possible at any time and can be done by sending a message to the address mentioned above. We store and use the data provided by you for contract processing. After complete processing of the contract or deletion of your customer account, your data will be blocked with regard to tax and commercial retention periods and deleted after these periods have expired, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we have reserved the right to use data beyond this which is permitted by law and about which we inform you below.
6) USE OF YOUR DATA FOR DIRECT ADVERTISING
6.1 Subscribing to our email newsletter
If you subscribe to our email newsletter, we will regularly send you information about our offers. The only mandatory information required for sending the newsletter is your email address. Providing additional data is voluntary and will be used to address you personally.
For the newsletter dispatch, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure. This means we will only send you a newsletter if you have expressly confirmed that you consent to receiving the newsletter. We will then send you a confirmation email asking you to confirm by clicking a link that you want to receive future newsletters.
By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent to use your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. When registering for the newsletter, we store your IP address as entered by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of registration in order to trace possible misuse of your email address at a later time.
The data collected when registering for the newsletter will be used exclusively for promotional purposes through the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link provided in the newsletter or by sending a corresponding message to the controller named at the beginning. After unsubscribing, your email address will be immediately deleted from our newsletter distribution list unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use data beyond this, which is legally permitted and about which we inform you in this policy.
6.2 Newsletter delivery to existing customers
If you have provided us with your email address when purchasing goods or services, we reserve the right to regularly send you offers for similar goods or services from our range via email. In this case, we do not need to obtain separate consent from you.
The data processing is carried out solely on the basis of our legitimate interest in personalized direct advertising in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. If you initially objected to the use of your email address for this purpose, no mail will be sent by us. You are entitled to object to the use of your email address for the aforementioned advertising purpose at any time with effect for the future by notifying the controller named at the beginning. For this, you only incur transmission costs according to the base rates. Upon receipt of your objection, the use of your email address for advertising purposes will be immediately stopped
7) DATA PROCESSING FOR ORDER FULFILLMENT
7.1 The personal data we collect is shared with the shipping company responsible for delivery, to the extent necessary to deliver the goods. Your payment information is passed to the designated financial institution where required for processing payment. If payment service providers are used, we explicitly inform you about this below. The legal basis for such data transfer is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
7.2 Use of Payment Service Providers
-
PayPal
If you pay via PayPal (including credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal, or — where offered — “purchase on account” or “installment payment” via PayPal), we share your payment details with PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22–24 Boulevard Royal, L‑2449 Luxembourg ("PayPal"). This transfer is in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and only to the extent necessary for payment processing.
PayPal may conduct a credit check for certain payment methods (credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal, or where offered “purchase on account” or “installment payment”) under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on its legitimate interest in assessing your creditworthiness. The credit check result (a statistical probability of payment default) may include so‑called score values, which are based on scientifically recognized mathematical–statistical methods and may incorporate, among other things, your address data. PayPal uses this information to decide whether to approve a payment method. For further data protection information—such as which credit agencies are used—please refer to PayPal’s privacy policy. You may object to this processing by contacting PayPal at any time. However, PayPal may still process your personal data if required for contract‑compliant payment processing. -
SOFORT
If you choose the payment method “SOFORT,” the payment is processed by SOFORT GmbH, Theresienhöhe 12, 80339 Munich, Germany (“SOFORT”). We share the personal and order information you provide during ordering with SOFORT under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. SOFORT is part of the Klarna Group (Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavägen 46, 11134 Stockholm, Sweden). The data transfer occurs exclusively for the purpose of payment processing with SOFORT and only to the extent necessary. For additional details on SOFORT’s data protection practices, please consult their privacy policy.
8) CONTACT FOR REVIEW REMINDER
We may use your email address to send a one‑time reminder to leave a review of your order, provided you have explicitly consented to this during or after placing your order under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time by notifying the data controller.
9) USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA: SOCIAL PLUGINS
9.1 Facebook Plugins (Shariff Setup)
No extra customs duties or fees are included in the price and are the customer’s responsibility.
Our website uses social plugins ("plugins") from the social network Facebook, operated by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA. To enhance data protection, these buttons are embedded not as direct plugins but via HTML links. This ensures that when you access a page with such a button, no connection is made to Facebook’s servers unless you click it, which opens a new window and takes you to Facebook to interact with the plugin (after you log in if needed).
Facebook Inc., based in the U.S., is certified under the U.S.–EU "Privacy Shield," which ensures that it meets EU data protection standards. For information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by Facebook, your rights, and privacy settings, please see Facebook’s privacy policy.
9.2 Google+ Plugins (Shariff Setup)
Our website also includes social plugins from Google+ provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. These are implemented via HTML links only, so no connection to Google+ servers is made unless you click the link. Clicking opens a new browser window to interact with Google+ (after login if needed). Google LLC is certified under the U.S.–EU "Privacy Shield." For information about Google+ data processing and your rights, consult Google’s privacy policy.
9.3 Instagram Plugin (Shariff Setup)
Our website also includes plugins for Instagram, operated by Instagram LLC, 1601 Willow Rd, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA. These are linked via HTML only, preventing automatic connections to Instagram's servers. Clicking opens a separate window where you may interact with Instagram’s plugin. Instagram LLC is Privacy Shield‑certified. For details on data usage and privacy protections, see Instagram’s privacy information.
10) ONLINE MARKETING
10.1 DoubleClick by Google
Our website uses the online marketing tool DoubleClick by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“DoubleClick”). DoubleClick uses cookies to show users relevant ads, improve campaign performance reporting, and prevent repeat ads. Google tracks ad delivery via cookie IDs and may record when a user clicks an ad and later visits the advertiser’s site. According to Google, DoubleClick cookies contain no personally identifying information. Processing is based on our legitimate interest in optimal marketing under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
When DoubleClick is used, your browser may automatically connect to Google’s servers. We cannot influence the scope or use of data collected by Google and inform you as far as we know: Google receives information that you accessed our site or clicked an ad. If you’re logged into a Google service, the visit may be associated with your account. Even if you’re not logged in, Google may identify and store your IP address.
To opt out of this tracking, you can block conversion-tracking cookies in your browser settings (particularly for the domain www.googleadservices.com) or visit https://www.google.de/settings/ads. You may also adjust settings via the Digital Advertising Alliance at www.aboutads.info. Note that disabling cookies may limit certain website functions.
10.2 Google AdWords Conversion Tracking
We use Google AdWords (by Google LLC) and its conversion tracking service. This enables us to assess how effective our advertising campaigns are—particularly by identifying users who clicked on an AdWords ad and then completed a purchase on our site. Cookies placed for this purpose expire after about 30 days and do not identify persons individually. We only receive aggregated data about click-to-conversion counts—not personal information.
If you do not wish to participate in this tracking, you can disable Google conversion-tracking cookies in your browser settings. We use Google AdWords under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in targeted, relevant advertising. Google LLC is Privacy Shield‑certified. For more info on Google’s privacy policies, see the provided link.
11) WEB ANALYTICS SERVICES
Google (Universal) Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so‑called "cookies"—text files stored on your computer—that enable analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including the truncated IP address) is normally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
This website uses Google Analytics exclusively with the _anonymizeIp()
extension, which ensures IP‐address anonymization by truncation and excludes direct personal attribution. Thus, your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or other contracting states to the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. In these exceptional cases, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in statistical analysis of user behavior for optimization and marketing purposes.
On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports about website activity, and provide other services related to website usage and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser within Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.
You can prevent cookie storage through a corresponding setting in your browser software. However, please note that in that case you may not be able to use all website functions fully. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your website usage (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at:https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
Alternatively, in browsers on mobile devices—including as an alternative to the browser plugin—you can click the following link to set an opt-out cookie that prevents future tracking via Google Analytics on this website (this opt-out cookie works only in this browser and only for this domain; if you delete your cookies, you must click this link again): Disable Google Analytics.
Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified under the US–EU “Privacy Shield,” ensuring compliance with the EU’s data protection level.
This website also uses Google Analytics for cross-device analysis of visitor flows via a User ID. When you first visit a page, a unique, persistent, anonymized ID is assigned and used across devices. This allows interaction data from different devices and sessions to be attributed to a single user. The User ID contains no personal data and does not transmit any to Google.
You may object to the collection and storage of data via the User ID at any time with future effect. To do this, you must disable Google Analytics on all systems you use—for example, in another browser or on your mobile device.
You can deactivate it using Google’s browser plugin (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
). Alternatively, on mobile browsers, you can click the opt‑out link above to set an opt‑out cookie, which prevents Google Analytics tracking on this domain in this browser. (Deleting cookies requires clicking it again.)
For further details on Universal Analytics, see:https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2838718?hl=de&ref_topic=6010376
12) RETARGETING / REMARKETING / RECOMMENDATION ADVERTISING
Facebook Custom Audience via Pixel
This website uses the “Facebook Pixel” from Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA (“Facebook”). With explicit consent, user behavior can be monitored after seeing or clicking a Facebook ad. This helps evaluate ad effectiveness for statistical and market research purposes and can optimize future campaigns.
The data we collect is anonymous and does not reveal user identities to us. However, Facebook stores and processes the data, which may be linked to user profiles and used by Facebook for its own advertising, in accordance with Facebook’s data use policy. Processing only occurs with explicit user consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Only users over 13 may consent; minors must obtain parental permission.
Facebook Inc. is certified under the US–EU “Privacy Shield.” You can block the use of cookies by third‑party providers like Facebook by adjusting your browser settings or visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance page: https://www.aboutads.info/choices/
.
Google AdWords Remarketing
Our website uses Google AdWords Remarketing to advertise on Google search results and third-party websites. Provider: Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google sets a cookie in your browser with a pseudonymous ID based on visited pages, enabling interest-based ads. Processing relies on our legitimate interest in optimal marketing under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Further processing occurs if you have agreed to link your Internet/app browser history with your Google account and allow that information to personalize ads. If logged into a Google service during your visit, Google may use aggregated Google Analytics and web data to create cross-device remarketing audience lists. Your data is temporarily linked to Analytics data to form these lists.
You can permanently opt out of ad-targeting cookies by installing Google’s browser plugin (https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/
) or by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance at www.aboutads.info
. You may also set your browser to alert and block cookies. Disabling cookies may limit website functionality.
Google LLC is Privacy Shield–certified. For more information, see Google’s advertisement and privacy policies:https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/
